For years, the Ciné-Clap festival has followed an unchanging ritual. Each year, for a week in June, a jury meets at Les Enfants du Paradis cinema to evaluate short films made by students from kindergarten to higher education from all over France. With, at the end of the road, rewards by age group.

But now, for its twentieth anniversary, the demonstration, organized by the association of the same name, is bound to evolve. The coronavirus crisis has forced cinemas to close. Impossible, therefore, to screen the films.

“The idea of ​​canceling everything outright touched me,” acknowledges Ciné-Clap president Dominique Beaufort, who holds the festival at arm’s length with association volunteers. But the passion was the strongest. So he found a solution.

The forty-two works in competition, including thirteen from Eure-et-Loir, will be visible for free on the festival website.
