Chinese President Xi Jinping stressed that “COVID-19 control and prevention in China faces a new situation and tasks.”

In his address to officials, in his first statement since China significantly eased strict health measures aimed at containing the Corona pandemic, he stressed that “we must launch the national health campaign in a more targeted way … and strengthen the line of the advocacy community to prevent and combat the epidemic.” and effectively protect people’s lives, safety and health.”

China is currently witnessing the largest outbreak of infections after suddenly lifting restrictions aimed at controlling the epidemic for a period of 3 years. Studies have estimated that around one million people could die in the coming months.

And it had disclosed non-public data from the National Health Commission in China, according to which nearly 37 million people are infected with the Corona virus daily.
