What is the cheapest supermarket in Poland? The ASM Sales Force marketing agency has published the latest results of its analysis of the average shopping cart value in the most popular retail chains in Poland. Inflation is taking its toll at many discount stores. In seven out of eleven analyzed stores, prices in September were higher than in August.

September brought another increase in inflation, which is confirmed by GUS data. A year ago, in the same period, the prices of goods and services were lower by 5.8 percent, and a month earlier – by 0.6 percent. Despite numerous promotional campaigns, prices are also rising in well-known retail chains.
– Price increases in supermarkets have become a fact. Our analyzes show that despite the ongoing price struggle, the chains were forced to raise the prices of some products. In our opinion, the cost of purchasing basic products will continue to slowly increase in the coming months, said Patryk Górczyński, Managing Director of ASM Sales Force Agency.
