A true chaos was lived in Barranquilla while the match between América de Cali and Atlético Mineiro was being played in that same Colombian city (duel that ended 3-1 in favor of the Brazilians, with a goal from Eduardo Vargas), since in the framework of the social outbreak that that country is experiencing there were serious incidents in the streets.
A few meters from the “Romelio Martínez” Olympic Stadium there were strong clashes between citizens and police and military personnel, in the context of protests that began on April 28 against tax, labor, health and educational reforms proposed by the President of Colombia, Iván Duque.
