The Cathedral and the City Hall illuminate their facades to pay tribute to pharmacists

The feature green light of pharmacies will be projected on the facades of the City Hall and the Cathedral of Burgos on the occasion of World Pharmacist Day. On this date, the sector celebrates its day, September 25, under the motto ‘Transforming global health’. Through this action, recognize the important work that pharmacists dos, in addition to pointing out its role in the pandemic, and requesting a more active role in the National Health System.

The president of the Official College of Pharmacists of Burgos, Miguel López de Abechuco Torío, wanted to point out the importance of the profession, and vindicate its role “for health authorities to take advantage of the potential of pharmacists and pharmacies against the coronavirus.”

World Pharmacists Day thus coincides with the claim of pharmacies to be able to carry out rapid tests and liberate health centers. A step that could be taken only with the political will, since an order is enough and it is not necessary to make changes to the laws, as Ana López Casero, treasurer of the General Council, has stated.
