The BT Sport expert praises the Tottenham player Conte really needs

Owen Hargreaves cheered Dejan Kulusevski and even made a comparison with Manchester City superstar Kevin De Bruyne for his composure.

Tottenham traveled to Germany on Tuesday night when they faced Eintracht Frankfurt in their last Champions League match.

After collapsing with a 2-0 defeat to Sporting in their latest Champions League outing, Tottenham needed an answer here.

Owen Hargreaves praised Dejan Kulusevski

Tottenham lacked any kind of composure or final ball in the offensive third.

This was also the case against Arsenal with Son Heung-min, Harry Kane and Richarlison often frantic at key moments.

It seems like a lack of cohesion at times when those three play and it is clear that Tottenham will miss Dejan Kulusevski.

The Swedish winger simply weaves the whole thing into the last third, possessing a calmness and disinterest in the last third that is needed alongside forwards like Son and Kane.

Kulusevski is out with a hamstring injury right now and has been in and out of the team due to Richarlison’s impact.

However, these frantic offensive performances without him only show how important Kulusevski is and how Antonio Conte needs him to come back soon.

Kulusevski was once compared to Kevin De Bruyne and Owen Hargreaves has now supported that confrontation.

Speaking to BT Sport (04/10, 22:06), Hargreaves has suggested that Kulusevski is like De Bruyne in that he can take a little longer to make his decisions in the last third.

Hargreaves praised Kulusevski for always being in control and not rushing, believing he was the key to unlocking Tottenham’s attack, but it’s unclear when he can return.

“Kulusevski is the chosen one, kind of like Kevin De Bruyne,” said Hargreaves. “When you see the guys creating, they just take a little more time, they just aren’t in a rush. When I see Kulusevski, he’s always in control, he’s not in a hurry, he’s not upset, “he added.
