The leader of Podemos and vice president of the Government is the most paradigmatic case. It was he who lashed out harshly against the former Minister of Economy Luis de Guindos for buying an attic in Madrid valued at around 600,000 euros. A few years later, in 2018, he changed his small family apartment in Vallecas – which he had boasted until then – for his Galapagar villa. OKDIARIO revealed the purchase of the already popularly known as ‘Casoplón’. An estate of 2,300 square meters, four bedrooms, THREE bathrooms, with pool and guest house. And garden, as the vice president himself recalled in Congress when he analyzed the difficulties posed by confinement for some Spanish families with children.

To deal with the purchase, Iglesias applied for a mortgage worth 540,000 euros, whose obligations it shares 50% with Irene Montero, his sentimental partner and Minister of Equality. In addition, Iglesias has been the owner of a habitable wooden cabin for years in a town in Ávila.
