Brazil’s President, Jair Bolsonaro, had a tantrum because he was banned from watching a football match at one of the stadiums in the city of Santos. Jair Bolsonaro is not allowed to watch because he has not received Corona vaccine (COVID-19).
Reported Associated Press and Reuters, Monday (11/10/2021), the football match between the Santos club against Gremio was held at a stadium in the city of Santos. The match, which was held on Sunday (10/10) local time, was the first match that was allowed to be attended by spectators since the Corona pandemic broke out in the country.
However, it turns out that the Santos club has its own rules even though it has been allowed to open the stadium for spectators. They insisted that only spectators who had been vaccinated against Corona could enter the stadium.
Not only that, the audience must also show a negative PCR result before being fully allowed to watch the match. Unfortunately for Bolsonaro, it turns out that he has not received the Corona vaccine.
His desire to watch football matches was hindered by these rules. Bolsonaro also showed his anger in front of local reporters when he said he wanted to watch a football match at Santos but couldn’t.
“Why a vaccine passport? I want to watch Santos now and they tell me I need to be vaccinated. Why should that be?” Bolsonaro told local reporters.
Bolsonaro himself is not without reason until now has not received a vaccine. He did admit that he refused to get the vaccine and asked the others to follow him.
He believes his body already has its own antibodies because he has been infected with the Corona virus.
However, it is not clear whether Bolsonaro, who is a football fan, ended up trying to get into the stadium to watch the football match or if his complaints were merely general in nature against what he called a ‘vaccine passport’.
