the brand launches its first connected watch … at a great price

Realme has announced the launch of its first connected watch. Launched in India at the equivalent of 48 euros, it will arrive in France in June.

Realme is a brand that may have only been in existence for two years, but it is indeed seeking to attack all sectors of mobility. After the smartphones and Bluetooth headphones, the subsidiary of the BBK Electronics group (Oppo, OnePlus, Vivo), announced on Monday its very first connected watch.

Logically called Realme Watch, the watch looks like it is mistaken therein.Apple Watch with its very rounded edges. A choice of design which is not unlike that of the Oppo Watch, officially presented last March.

As for the features, the Realme Watch is equipped with a 1.4 inch TFT LCD screen. A choice of display technology which undoubtedly aims to reduce the cost of the watch, most competing models having opted for OLED with better contrast. The screen, square in shape with rounded corners, can display 320 x 320 pixels, at a density of 323 pixels per inch. Regarding the maximum brightness, Realme announces that the screen can go up to 380 cd / m². Still regarding the design, it should be noted that the watch offers four silicone straps: black, blue, red or green, and that it is IP68 certified to be used in immersion in more than a meter of water for an hour.

Monitoring of 14 sports activities

Like the Huawei Watch GT watches, it is truly on sport that the Realme watch intends to stand out. It thus embeds a heart rate sensor capable of also measuring SpO2, that is to say the oxygen level in the blood. It also offers monitoring of 14 sports activities, from indoor running to table tennis, including outdoor biking, badminton, walking or football.

The other classic functions of connected watches are not forgotten, since the Realme Watch will also allow you to control the music on your smartphone, like the camera, or reject calls. It also allows you to receive notifications from your phone directly on your wrist. On the autonomy side, the Realme watch benefits from a 160 mAh battery which should allow it, according to the brand, to last from seven to nine days.

The most interesting thing about Realme Watch remains its price, however. Indeed, the watch will be launched in India on June 5 at a price of 3,999 rupees, or 48 euros excluding tax. According to our information, the watch will also be released in France during the month of June, at a price that has not yet been released.
