“The Bond Girl is not dead.”

There was a commotion in the American media about correcting the obituary of actor Tanya Roberts (65), who appeared in the 007 movie as’Bond Girl. The Associated Press and others announced the news of Roberts’ death on the 4th (local time). However, after a while, it withdrew and reprinted an article stating “Roberts is in the hospital and is still alive.”

This misinformation commotion began with the announcement of the obituary by the public relations officer. On the 3rd, Roberts’ husband, Lance O’Brien, informed the spokesman Mike Pingel of the death of his wife, saying, “I received a call from the hospital to give Roberts a final greeting.” On this basis, Fingel informed the media of his obituary.

However, the hospital turned out to be a fuss, correcting the facts again to O’Brien that Roberts was alive.

O’Brien, who was conducting an interview with the American TV entertainment program’Inside Edition’ and the news of Roberts’ death, receives a phone call from the hospital. During the interview, when he heard the news from the hospital that his wife is alive, he asked, “Is Roberts alive?” and a scene where he said “Thank you God” was broadcast.

When it was confirmed that Roberts was alive, the American press re-released reports such as “She is alive” and “The Bond Girl is not dead.”

The AP reported that “Several media reported that Roberts had died, but they withdrew the obituary,” and NBC said, “I accidentally posted Roberts’ obituary due to misinformation from the public relations officer.” However, the spokesperson said, “Roberts is still in critical condition,” and added, “It is not that he has a novel coronavirus infection (Corona 19).”

Roberts, who was a model, gained popularity by appearing in the TV series’The Three Musketeers of Beauty’ and’Premature Abdominal Pain 70 Show’ in the 1970s~80s. In 1985, he played the role of Bond girl Stacey Sutton in the 007 series’View to a Kill’.

On Christmas Eve, on the 24th of last month, after a walk with my dog, I came home and suddenly collapsed and was taken to the hospital. He was currently admitted to Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles (LA), and was in a critical condition wearing a respirator for breathing difficulties, a spokesman said.
