The complete range of the BMW 8 Series, coupe, convertible and Gran Coupé with two pairs of doors has been modernized.

It ran away like water, The BMW 8 Series has been on the market since 2018, so after four years it’s high time for a facelift. And the modernization is now coming as part of the regular spring update of the BMW model range. It is decent, but it has innovated many areas of the car.
The basis of modernization is stylistic adjustments, which are nevertheless decent. However, the redesigned bow was to further emphasize the dynamic nature of this series. This is one of the reasons why the M sports package with aerodynamically optimized components or the blue lacquered brake calipers of the M sports brake system is becoming the new standard. The radiator grille can then be backlit, following the example of other models of the brand.
In addition, the M850i variant also comes with aerodynamic M mirrors as standard, as well as front bumper extensions and, in the case of a coupe, also an M rear spoiler. for six-cylinder derivatives, these elements are at an additional cost. And if the M logo is not enough, you can pay extra for the historic BMW Motorsport emblems to celebrate 50 years since the division was founded.
Inside, the main novelty is the enlargement of the multimedia system’s display, from 10.25 “to 12.3”. Again, the standard M package is, in this case a sports steering wheel, anthracite-colored roof upholstery or M stainless steel pedals. The six-cylinder models now also have multifunctional seats as standard. As part of the facelift, the offer of body paints also changed.
The exclusive look will be offered by a special edition by the American artist Jeff Koons, which will be officially introduced on February 17. However, BMW promises a multi-layered body finish in 11 colors, as well as the finest leather inside, with the deep red and blue colors of the BMW M tricolor.
On the contrary, the changes under the hood did not take place this time. Thus, three engines remain on offer, 840i (gasoline six-cylinder with 245 kW, extra charge with ATV), M850i xDrive (eight – cylinder with 390 kW) a 840d xDrive (diesel six-cylinder with 250 kW).
The top BMW M8 Competition with an output of 460 kW was also slightly modified. It also covers the use of a 12.3 “infotainment display. The standard is upholstery combining Merino and Alcantar leather, which also uses optional shell seats.
In addition, the range of body paints available has expanded to make the design stand out more. Specifically, there are the new gray metallic paint Skyscraper Gray, gray metallic paint Brooklyn Gray, green metallic paint Isle of Man Green and blue metallic paint BMW Individual Tanzanite Blue. Exclusive matt lacquers, Frozen Pure Gray, Frozen Deep Gray, Frozen Deep Green and Frozen Tanzanite Blue are also available.
