The biggest and brightest moon will be seen this week – Telemundo 52

A supermoon, presumably
the biggest and brightest of the year, it will light up the nights this week. Not only
the Moon will be closer to the Earth than normal, but it will also be the Moon
full.

Scientists call this cosmic phenomenon a supermoon. The Moon will be 221,855 miles away at its best on Tuesday night, making it look bigger and brighter.

NASA is urging everyone to look up, either outdoors or through the windows.

Scientist Noah Petro, from
NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland noted that
It is important to stay safe when observing the Moon in the midst of the
coronavirus.

“If it’s not safe to go out … no
no problem, “Petro said.” Get out next month or anytime
make it safe again. Take advantage of the full moon as an excuse to go out and
start looking at the moon. “

“Use this as an opportunity
not to physically distance, but to connect emotionally with something
that is physically far from us ”, he added.

Over the next few months there will be a series of supermoons, so if anyone misses this moon show, they will be able to watch the next one on May 7.

Several Colorado residents carved the mysterious objects into the state sky.
