“The Big Bang Theory” star in new series from “Star Wars” maker CHIP

Helberg has recently appeared in two films: “Space Oddity” is about a man who wants to book a flight to Mars with the help of his insurance company – without a ticket for the return flight. And in “As They Made Us,” Helberg stars alongside Dustin Hoffman. Incidentally, Mayim Bialik, who “TBBT” fans may also know as Amy Fowler, wrote the script and directed the film.

It is not yet clear what role Helberg will play in “Poker Face”. Stars like Joseph Gordon-Levitt (“The Dark Knight Rises”), Adrien Brody (“The Pianist”) and Benjamin Bratt (“Law & Order”) will be at his side. Behind the series are Natasha Lyonne (“Matryoshka”) and Rian Johnson (“Knives Out”, “Star Wars: The Last Jedi”). “Poker Face” is scheduled to be released later this year on the Peacock streaming service and will initially consist of ten episodes. Peacock is available in Germany with a WOW (formerly Sky Ticket) subscription at no extra charge.
