According to Dondelinger, the amended winter statute should for the first time also regulate who has to clear ordinary cycle paths, cycle paths and cycle zones. “More and more cyclists are also out and about in winter and will be able to rely on clearing their routes of snow and ice in the future. This is another small step on the road to equal rights for bicycle, car and pedestrian traffic,” says Dondelinger.
