Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania received permission from the United States to supply equipment purchased from them to Kiev.

The defense ministers of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, in a joint statement, confirmed the allocation of a batch of weapons to Ukraine after receiving permission from the United States. They noted that the supply of weapons will begin in the near future, the press service of the Estonian Ministry of Defense reports.

“Today we have the necessary permits to send weapons from the United States. With the help of weapons, we show that our support is not only in words,” said Estonian Defense Minister Kalle Laanet.

Also in the statement of the Ministry of Defense of the three countries it is noted that Javelin anti-tank missile systems, Stinger anti-aircraft missile systems and equipment to strengthen the country’s independent defense potential will be transferred to Ukraine.

In turn, Latvian Defense Minister Artis Pabriks called on Russia to de-escalate the situation on the border with Ukraine and respect its sovereignty.

Earlier it was reported that the Baltic countries intend to supply Javelin to Ukraine.

Before that, it was also reported that Estonia plans to transfer howitzers to Ukraine.
