THE BALL – Trump is saddened by Boris Johnson’s internment: «He became very, very serious» (United States)

Donald Trump attended a press conference this Monday to take stock of the state of the Covid-19 pandemic in the United States.

The American President started by giving a word to British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who was admitted to intensive care this Monday due to persistent symptoms of the new coronavirus.

«I want to wish my best friend and friend of our nation the best. I’m sad to hear that you were taken to intensive care just now. The Americans are praying for his recovery, he has been a great friend, ”Trump told reporters.

«Boris [Johnson] he is a fantastic person, he is a strong and intelligent boy. He loves his country, it shows. He fought hard for his country. But intensive care is not a game, ”he said, adding that he had contacted the British Prime Minister’s doctors.

“When you are taken to intensive care, it is because you have become very, very serious,” said Donald Trump.

Asked whether news about Boris Johnson’s health status meant a change in the White House’s own security procedures, Trump replied: “Mike took the test, I took my test, we’re all here, just like you.”

The American head of state added that “because of issues like these”, the White House will do more tests, since, he said, “they are quick and easy” to carry out.
