Jorge Jesus has welcomed Fenerbahçe’s return to the competition. This Tuesday, the Portuguese coach’s team sealed their passage to the round of 16 of the Cup, beating Istanbulspor 3-1.
«We have shown the evolution that the team has had in these five weeks of break. We played a quality match, scored three and it could have been five or six. We have created many chances, the players are confident and defensively we are solid,” said the coach, already thinking about the difficult duel at home against champions Trabzonspor on Saturday 24th.
“It will be a difficult match, as everyone is in this very balanced championship. We want to keep first place and we have the ability to be champions, but like us there are four or five other teams that can be. We respect Trabzonspor a lot, the reigning champions,” concluded Jorge Jesus.
