THE BALL – Proposals and patience by Gonçalo Ramos and Weigl (Benfica)

Midfielder Julian Weigl and forward Gonçalo Ramos represent two of the most publicized cases in the squad that Benfica still has to resolve by the end of the month.

Weigl will even leave (Meité is also being traded to Saudi Arabia) to make room for the signing of Fredrik Aursnes, the 26-year-old Norwegian international midfielder who is already being negotiated with Feyenoord.

Benfica are asking €15M for Weigl’s pass (it cost €20M), but no proposals have yet come to buy the pass.

Regarding Gonçalo Ramos, Benfica is still available to listen to proposals, but only starts negotiating with an offer that reaches at least €40 M. From England comes news that Newcastle is interested in the player and that he will put it on the table numbers that may be to the liking of the Portuguese club.

Gonçalo Ramos has been an undisputed starter with Roger Schmidt and the German coach would like to keep the striker, but everything will depend on the volume of offers.
