THE BALL – Historic Lewandowski at Bayern’s hodgepodge in Stuttgart (Germany)

Bayern Munich beat Stuttgart 5-0, in the match that opened the 16th round of the Bundesliga. In a game in which the Bavarians lost Kingsley Coman through injury, the first goal came in the 40th minute, through Serge Gnabry, in a spectacular left-hand arch shot after an assist from Leroy Sané.

In the second half, on 53′, Robert Lewandowski assisted the German winger to second on his personal account and Bayern, and it was the Polish forward, on 69′, isolated in front of the Stuttgart goalkeeper, to raise the result to 3- 0.

In the 72nd minute, assisted by Gnabry, Lewandowski appeared in the heart of the area, swerving to the fourth goal, equaling the legendary Gerd Muller’s record for the most goals (42) in a calendar year in the Bundesliga: the Pole already has 29 goals in the present season… At 74′, Gnabry completed the dream afternoon with the ‘hat trick’ to close the result in 5-0.

Outstanding leader, Bayern has scored 52 goals (!) and 40 points and, as a condition, is nine ahead of Borussia Dortmund, who will host Greuter Furth on Wednesday. Stuttgart are 15th with 17 points. Next Friday, the champions host Wolfsburg in the last game before the winter break (until the second week of January).
