The art of learning to think

Last week, organized by Activos y felizes in the auditorium of the Culture Classroom Renta 4 León Invest in you, I had the opportunity to listen to Germán González –from Villaverde la Chiquita, León– who spoke about the ‘Art of learning to think ‘. I am passionate about these kinds of talks because they remind me in a very short space of time of a significant number of vital concepts that produce well-being. The workshop, which can be seen on YouTube, lasted almost three hours and I just want to collect here the ‘decalogue’ that he transmitted to us.

1. No one can give what he does not have: do not ask an apple tree for pears. Therefore, it is convenient not to judge, not to blame. If you don’t understand something, you already have something to evolve on.

2. First to be, then to do, then to have. It is fully in tune with my way of understanding investing: “Rising stocks, your behavior determines your investment.” Be virtuous – prudent, fair, strong and temperate – to obtain profitability.

3. You will become what you think. Therefore, take care of your thoughts, your garden.

4. Nothing is against you: do not project. “She didn’t look at you badly, it’s just that she looks like that.” Be careful with the labels.

5. When you change the way you look, change what you look at. It is a law of quantum physics.

6. Formula to stay alone: ”Always be correcting everyone, let them do everything your way.” Leave people alone, trust.

7. Good luck or bad luck, who knows? Let each day count, the power of now. Everything changes in an instant.

8. No “It’s just that…”: No excuses.

9. Walk down another street. “There are other worlds that are waiting for you.”

10. Don’t die with the music inside you: “We want to hear your music.” Discover your gift, discover your mission, discover why you are here.

And you know, before telling me anything, use three filters: “Is what you are going to tell me true? Is it necessary for me to know? Is what you are going to tell me good for someone?».
