The Arriaga Theater stages a play by Alex Rigola about life and death

Director Alex Rigola make a song to life in “An undiscovered country from whose confines no traveler returns”, work to be performed on Friday the 19th at the Arriaga Theater.

The starting point is the conversation that the playwright and actress Alba Pujol (who interprets herself) maintains with his father, Josep Pujol Andreu (played by Pep Cruz), during his chemotherapy.

As the Arriaga has detailed, the work is an adaptation of the transcripts of these conversations, in which characters such as Cioran, Shakespeare, Lacan, Gil de Biedma, the Coen brothers, Eugenio or Peter Handke appear.

The conversation between daughter and father, played on stage by Pep Cruz, progresses as they prepare for the funeral and burial, speaking openly and, sometimes, with a great sense of humor, about all this that surrounds death when it is very close to you.

Love, humanity and dignity stand out in a work whose staging offers some videos, poems and photographs as support.
