Al-Marsad newspaper – Agencies: Argentina has decided to place the image of the player Lionel Messi and his teammates on an Argentine commemorative coin.
Before last Sunday’s World Cup final match at Lusail Stadium in Qatar, the authorities studied with the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic the most important options for celebrating a world title.
Previous commemorative coins were issued by the central bank when Argentina won the World Cup for the first time in 1978, as well as during celebrations of the bicentenary and 50th anniversary of leader Eva Peron’s death.
The same thing was done, after winning the 2022 Qatar World Cup, by putting Messi’s image on a commemorative coin of the thousand peso category, because it is important for officials to perpetuate this memory on the coin.
