A recording shows Tonga’s streets covered in volcanic ash and building debris Tuesday, January 18.
The explosion of the Hunga-Tonga-Hunga-Ha’apai underwater volcano on Saturday (15/1) killed at least three people and triggered a tsunami in the Pacific region.
As many as 100 houses were damaged by this disaster and 50 of them were completely destroyed.
This disaster also damaged the country’s only underwater communication cable and is under repair until February 1.
