The Mossos d’Esquadra group of homicides arrested this morning a man allegedly the author of at least three of the four murders of homeless people produced the last weeks in the district of Eixample of Barcelona.
The arrest came hours after her latest victim, a man who slept at the confluences of Rosselló and Cerdenya streets in Barcelona and who was beaten to death in the head while sleeping.
The crime on Casp street was recorded by a security camera
Investigators already had enough data on the alleged author after the crime of homeless murdered On Casp Street, they had the recording of the murder that captured in detail one of the Justice Department’s exterior security cameras that is a few meters from the crime scene.
The first of the crimes occurred on March 19 at the doors of a supermarket also on Sardenya Street. A murder that, unlike the following three, the author used a white weapon. The second, practically a month later, took place on April 16 under the arcades of one of the entrances of the Barcelona Municipal Auditorium, and the third, two days later, on Calle Casp. In total four crimes in the same district of homeless people who slept alone in a city absolutely deserted by confinement.
