The heart of this hybrid system, called eHybridconsists of a 6-speed dual clutch automatic transmission (eDsg) which houses an electric motor with a power of 85 kW (115 HP) and a maximum torque of 330 Nm. This electric motor operates in combination with the new 1.5-litre TSI Evo2 four-cylinder petrol engine, featuring a high-efficiency Miller combustion cycle and a variable geometry turbocharger.
The basic version of the 1.5 TSI Evo2 petrol engine it delivers a power of 110 kW (150 HP), but in combination with the electric motor, the hybrid system reaches a total power of 150 kW (204 HP). Introduced a notable improvement in rechargea, with the possibility of charging the battery via alternating current at home wallboxes at a maximum power of 11 kW, allowing a complete recharge from 0% to 100% in approximately two hours. Direct current (DC) fast charging up to 50 kW allows you to recover energy from 10% to 80% in approximately 25 minutes.
This all translates into an increase inautonomy in fully electric mode, which reaches approximately 100 km. Thanks to the assistance of the petrol engine, the total range can reach approximately 1,000 km.
