The American low-cost airline JetBlue reached an agreement on Thursday with its rival Spirit for the acquisition of the latter, for 3.8 billion dollars.
This acquisition, which must obtain the green light from regulators and shareholders, comes the day after Frontier, another airline, abandoned a merger project with Spirit.
