The Aguadulce IES generates training synergies with technology companies | Roquetas

The IES Aguadulce, in the rocky town of Aguadulce, has recently started the project ‘Entrepreneurial Synergies’, within the ‘Learning with companies’ program jointly promoted by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training, and which has co-financing from the European Social Fund.

The project aims to bring the business world closer to the educational center, specifically to its Vocational Training studies in computer science, of which the roquetero center is a benchmark in Andalusia.

Thus, the IES Aguadulce through this project will create two lines of action: on the one hand, for students in the 2nd year of the Higher Degree Training Cycle of Microinformatics Systems and networks and for those in the 2nd year of Basic Professional Training in Computer Science and communications . For this, the teaching staff will have the collaboration of the Sonimar Telecomunicaciones company, in order for the students to learn from the hands of their professionals how to make a fiber optic installation that will be physically carried out in the educational center.

On the other hand, the Coderty company will interact with the students of the 2nd year of the Higher Degree Training Cycle of Web Application Development, explaining the technologies used in their company and proposing to the students the resolution of a real case that they should study and present their possible solution to the partner company.

The IES Aguadulce is one of the largest centers in the municipality if its distance studies are taken into account, since there are almost 2,000 students enrolled in it, of which half follow studies in the face-to-face mode and the other half correspond to the Distance vocational training studies followed by students from all the provinces of Andalusia. In fact, the center is the only one that offers distance learning computer training cycles, standing out for its innovation in this thriving way of learning.

Within the activities precisely focused on Vocational Training, the IES Aguasdulce has launched this’ Entrepreneurial Synergies’ project that was born with the idea of strengthening ties with companies that can complete and provide experience to their students’ giving a well-defined framework to the relationships that we have managed to create with companies in the sector, both for face-to-face teaching and for distance learning throughout Andalusia “, they explain in the presentation of the project started from this educational center directed by Julio Gómez.

To achieve these objectives, the project follows several thematic lines that go through technological, environmental, production process or service provision innovation, promoting the transfer of knowledge between centers and companies or entities, through the exchange of innovative experiences. “With this line we are going to be able to integrate the companies that have already been collaborating with us and experts from our professional family, so that they can bring the latest technologies in the sector to our students”, he assured.

The idea also aims to work on projects that include emerging professional skills, related to the circular economy, sustainable mobility, cybersecurity, development of 5G communication networks, Big Data, Industry 4.0 and virtual and augmented reality. “The profile of our students is fully adapted to this thematic line insofar as it includes professional competences in the cycle of professional families related to communication networks, Big Data and augmented reality”, it is indicated from the institute, which also highlights that “our students already have competencies in Cybersecurity, which we want to be expanded with the future solidity by our center of the Specialization Course in Cybersecurity that the Ministry of Education has recently created.”
