Zaniar Matapour is charged with murder, attempted murder and terror, after he shot and killed two people at Per on the corner and London pub in central Oslo on Saturday night.
PST has previously said that they consider the shooting as an extreme Islamist terrorist act.
– The accusation of terror stands. There is nothing that weakened that suspicion, says police attorney Børge Enoksen to VG.
– It is a relevant hypothesis that we are investigating, as we have said before. Also that with radicalism and hate crime, we also investigate this with psychiatry.
According to NRK, the accused will not cooperate with experts who will assess sanity.
Still unclear
Police said on Wednesday that they are “sure that the accused was alone about the attack”. However, it is not clear whether he may have had collaborators, or whether others have collaborated with him in advance.
– It is a relevant hypothesis that we are investigating, and a hypothesis that makes the situation unclear and that it is urgent to obtain information, says Enoksen.

Working towards important deadline
Matapour was remanded in custody for four weeks on Monday. However, he has refused to explain himself, as long as the police record the interrogation on audio or video.

Yesterday, the police published new photos of Matapour, in the hope that it would provide a basis for more tips about the shooting. According to Enoksen, the police have received over 70 tips after the police asked for more information on Wednesday.
