The group of 9 + finds the picture rails of the Modern and Contemporary Art Fund of the Boris-Vian space, in Montluçon (Allier), from Sunday June 19.
Twenty-nine artists living between Montluçon and Paris, and even abroad for some, will exhibit for the first time since September 2019. If the pandemic has prevented them from showing their work, it has also stolen a friend from them.
A tribute by Armando Capretti
The group of 9 + will thus pay tribute to the Argentinian painter Armando Capretti, who died of covid.

“While preparing for the exhibition, I wondered how he got into the 9+ group and I couldn’t remember,” admits Alain Bisson laughing. I think it’s through the group’s Parisian artists. »
Three paintings by Capretti in the exhibition
The exhibition will present three works by this painter in the expressionist style who exhibited in Paris and in the Paris region since 1984. “He was a cultivated man. He planned to create a cultural space, La Passerelle, in his city of Cordoba, intended for dance and the plastic arts. »
“He will remain for the group of 9+ a talented friend for whom friendship and art were the assurance of an unbreakable bond between men. »

Artists loyal to the group still present
Alongside Armando Capretti’s paintings, visitors will be able to discover paintings, sculptures, photographs or engravings by artists loyal to the group of 9 + such as Adam’s N’Diaye, Christiane Gorbatchenko, Norbert Fritsch, Geneviève N’Daw, Michel Kuperman, Alain Bisson, Elke Schlieper or Marc Castello…

The Shakers association will celebrate 20 years of residence with an exhibition in Montluçon (Allier)
The 9+ group exhibition will be visible every day, except Tuesday, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., from Sunday June 19 to Sunday July 10. Free admission.
