Delcy Rodríguez: The vote of 6D carries with it the emancipation of the people from the imperial powers
The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, expressed that the parliamentary elections of this December 6, are outlined as an epic feat for the Venezuelan people, in the context promoted by North American imperialism, which tries to impose its neocolonial model.
“It is not just any election, because they take place in a context where the exercise of sovereignty by the people of Venezuela is threatened, attacked and criminally blocked by imperial governments, that is why this Sunday’s vote becomes an expression of emancipation from the powers that want to subdue the people, ”said Rodríguez.
During the conference held by the Samuel Robinson Institute, “Crisis and challenges of democracy in the multipolar era”, Rodríguez indicated that Venezuela will once again be an example to the world “because despite the suffocation, the economic war, the assassination attempts , attempts to replace the Public Powers of the country with a mercenary contract, the Venezuelan people remain standing and will come out to express themselves this Sunday in civic union ”.
Given this, he specified that in Venezuela a new page of republican history will be written, as the people will come out united to vote to punish with suffrage those who have committed theft, looting and pillage of the country’s wealth on foreign soil and the deputies who they have called for the illegal sanctions.
“We will go out to vote to speak out against the criminal blockade, the illegal sanctions and the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the US government (..) It will be a vote of conscious exercise and union against the blockade, which has cruelly caused much suffering to the Venezuelans, “he said.
Likewise, he stressed that Venezuela is standing and that the imperial powers have not been able to defeat the people, “nor will they be able to, because that is how it is marked in our history, because those who seek to dominate and extort us to twist our democratic will are destined to fail.” he asserted.
He recalled during his speech that Venezuela is the epicenter of a major geopolitical operation deployed by the US empire, punished with a severe package of unilateral coercive measures that have affected all levels of its social, cultural and economic life.
The world must change its hegemonic models
“The world is plunged into a deep crisis due to the choice of the model of production, reproduction, interconnection, which is a model of hegemony, of military, nuclear, financial and energy predominance by imperial poles and ungovernable factual powers in the world. planet, ”said the Executive Vice President.
Given this, he assured that the challenge now is to build democratic models that are aimed at serving the population.
“The current challenge for the peoples of the world is to build a democratic model that serves humanity and citizens to protect them,” he said.
