Two cars collided head-on near Hořovice in the Beroun region before ten o’clock on Saturday night. It was a station wagon from BMW and a Fiat van. “So far, for unknown reasons, the driver of a BMW vehicle drove in the opposite direction, where he collided with a Fiat vehicle,” said police spokeswoman Martina Fejfarová.
Despite all the efforts of rescuers, the Fiat driver born in 1976 did not survive the collision. Three other people were injured in the accident, and a helicopter with paramedics had to fly to the scene.
“Two people traveling in a BMW vehicle were airlifted for further treatment. One person was transported by the ambulance service,” Fejfar added.
