The 4 best iOS apps of the past week

Every week, the Apple App Store works overtime. New apps, updates for existing applications and games are constantly appearing. You probably won’t notice this, because the majority of the programs are not worth downloading. iPhoned therefore separates the wheat from the chaff every Sunday. These are the best iOS apps, updates and games from the past week.

1. Instagram Reels

Instagram launch the attack on TikTok. Last week, Facebook’s subsidiary released Reels. From now on you can record short videos of up to six seconds under the camera button of Instagram and provide all kinds of animations and fun effects.

Instagram Reels then share on your Insta profile, but you can also add them to your Story. The advantage of option number 1 is that your video may end up on the Discover tab of the app, where an audience of millions is present. Last week we have other ones besides Instagram Reels TikTok alternatives organised.

2. Tikkie Check

The immensely popular Tikkie payment app now also comes in handy on the terrace. Last week maker ABN Amro Tikkie Check out, a new function for catering operators. This allows café and restaurant owners to allow guests to pay contactless with their smartphone.

It is very simple. Take a seat and scan the QR code on the table. Then place your order with the staff and enjoy the drink. Have you had enough to drink? Then you ‘just’ pay via Tikkie, without having to ask for a receipt. Then it is very easy to split the bill with any company.

3. Gun Rounds

Sooner or later a showdown occurs in cowboy movies. Two cowboys face each other with one hand on the holster to take out each other as quickly as possible with bullets. In Gun Rounds you do much the same, but safely from your iPhone.

The game focuses on shooting each other. First you can fire a shot, after which it is the turn of the opponent (s). Then you try to take turns apart. Good responsiveness is also important in Gun Rounds, because by tapping the screen at exactly the right time you can repel attacks from enemies.

4. Burpee Hero

Many people find it difficult to make exercise a habit. Going for a run or going to the gym is still possible, but making it a habit can be tough. Burpee tries to help Hero with that. The new app tries to motivate you by making sports more fun.

Burpee Hero does that by giving you a doll. By performing squats, push-ups, sit-ups and burpees you ensure that your Burpee Hero becomes more and more powerful. You also earn money (in-game) to buy extra equipment for your sports fanatic.
