The North, Central American and Caribbean Athletics Association has informed its members of the cancellation of the 2021 Carifta Games

The secretary of the NACAC (Athletics Association of North America, Central America and the Caribbean) has informed its members that the 2021 Carifta Games are canceled.

-The competition was scheduled to take place in April 2021 and had been postponed. The events were indeed to take place in Bermuda from August 13 to 15.
Bermuda authorities had made it clear that the 14-day quarantine was mandatory for unvaccinated athletes and was non-negotiable.
While Bermuda allows people aged 16 and over to be vaccinated, the majority of outdoor athletes are in countries where authorities only allow vaccination for people 18 and older.

In addition, the previous postponement of the competition had caused difficulties in the logistical organization for hotel chains.
