It is well known that Sadio Mané earns a lot from the record champions. In fact, he’s arguably on par with two longtime achievers.

Unlike his previous employer FC Liverpool, Sadio Mané will wear shirt number 17 at Bayern Munich (read more here). There is also another innovation for the offensive star: he gets more salary from the record champions than on the island.

He should collect over 20 million euros a year and according to “Bild” as much as goalkeeper Manuel Neuer and Bayern veteran Thomas Müller. All three are said to be in second place behind striker Robert Lewandowski (24 million a year).

“Numbers are wrong”
However, Mané’s salary at Liverpool FC is said to have been significantly higher than was discussed in the media. Accordingly, his PR consultant Bacary Cissé said on the French broadcaster “TV5 Mode”: “A player of Sadio’s caliber cannot earn the salary that is being talked about. The numbers in circulation are completely wrong.”

He then added: “He was already earning more when he came to Liverpool from Southampton. He then renewed his contract in 2018 and his salary was much higher than the media figures.” There was often talk of six million euros, but the sum mentioned did not exceed 15 million euros. Now it is said to be another five million euros more.

After Neuer, Müller and Mané, there will probably be Joshua Kimmich, Leroy Sané and Lucas Hernández in the salary structure of FC Bayern. All three are said to collect up to 20 million euros.
