Thale Myhre (28) has been seen in both “The Farm” and “71 degrees north”, and last year she surprised with an appearance in the NRK success «Exit».
Now, however, there is something completely different than TV appearances she gets attention for.
–
Earlier this month, there was a great stir in the sports world when tennis star Novak Djokovic (34) was stopped at the airport in Melbourne because he should not have had the correct visa as unvaccinated. It turned out that the visa was not in a category where one can get medical exemption from being vaccinated against corona.
He was to take part in the prestigious tennis tournament Australian Open, but was eventually thrown out of the country.
Criticism hails from vaccine refusal
Recently, Myhre shared his support for Djokovic on Instagram. At the same time, she shared with her over 20,000 followers that she neither has nor will take the corona vaccine.

Got infected
– If you want to take the vaccine, then be so good. It is your body and your choice, but I do not want to and it must also be my choice and my body, she says to Dagbladet.
Myhre adds that she thinks it is a good thing if the vaccine can help, but that she does not understand why you suddenly need a third bite – that is, the booster dose.
– Infected with corona
She also questions that people with both two and three doses are infected with the coronavirus.
In study done on the omicron variant of the coronavirus shows, among other things, that two doses of the Pfizer vaccine do not protect as well against omicron infection as it does against delta infection.
–
Immunologist Fridtjof Lund-Johansen has previously stated to Dagbladet that those who have had corona probably do not need a third dose, as they have better protection against the omicron variant.
For those who have not experienced the disease, he believes the third dose, which is popularly called the booster dose, is the best choice for most people – as it seems to provide better antibodies which in turn provides wider protection.
The “Papaya” trio corona infected
– There are very divided opinions about the vaccine in my family, some have taken it and some have not – but both vaccinated and unvaccinated have been infected and been really ill. Why should we get vaccinated if we still get sick? asks Myhre.
– I was infected with corona in the late summer of last year, and I became very ill, so I understand that it is a violent virus and I do not say anything against it. But I am young and healthy, active and taking care of myself – so I can tolerate dealing with the virus. And therefore I see no reason to take it.
–
– Protects well
FHI chief physician Preben Aavitsland is, however, aware that vaccination is important, even though both unvaccinated and vaccinated can be infected.
– Vaccination protects well against serious illness, ie that you become so ill that you have to go to hospital. That’s the most important thing. That is why we recommend it. We would like to have a vaccine that protects against all infections and all diseases, but such a vaccine does not exist for corona.
– The worst year of my life
He also adds that young and healthy people in principle have a lower risk of becoming ill enough that they have to go to hospital, but that lifestyle has little to say.
– We still recommend vaccination for those who want to reduce the risk even more, he emphasizes to Dagbladet.
The health authorities have also determined that there is a lower chance of passing on infection if you have been vaccinated.
–
– Lost trust
The 28-year-old says that she has received many positive reactions after she was open about not being vaccinated, and that people think she is tough standing up. But she has also received messages with a slightly different wording.
– I am asked if I am a complete idiot and that the fact that I say that is the reason why we still have the virus in the world.
Insulated in the dormitory
– I feel it is an internal war between unvaccinated and vaccinated, and we must put it off. We are human beings, we have rights and can make our own choices. I do not go around “reporting” on vaccinated people and saying that they are mentally ill. It’s okay for them to take the vaccine, but I do not want to and that’s just the way it is.
–
– Why do not you want the vaccine?
– I have always had a little distrust of the health care system. They do a lot of good, but I have had my episodes with it that have led to me losing confidence. So I’ve always been reluctant to get vaccinated, really.
The 28-year-old says she does not want to be a “guinea pig”.
Reveals brittle corona symptoms
– It is only good if the doses can make a person less ill and reduce the infection. But I’m skeptical of a lot of medicine and we know so little about the virus, so I’m over the vaccine.
Aavitsland believes, however, that there is no problem.
– The vaccines we use in Norway have now been given to over a billion people in over a year. There is plenty of experience galore.
–
– Do not shit in the virus
Thale Myhre emphasizes one thing, however. Although she is negative about a stab in the arm, she is not one of those who does not follow infection control restrictions and recommendations.
– Of course I follow the restrictions. I follow all the rules to the letter. Just because I have not been vaccinated does not mean that I shit in the virus, she says.
Knocked out of the corona
– In Denmark (where she currently lives, journ.anm.) We have introduced corona passports, and I think it works very well. Since I have had covid-19, I have a green passport until March. After that, I have to take a test to have a valid passport – but it has in a way become part of everyday life, she concludes.
