The headset can either be connected via USB or analog via a mini jack cable. The first variant means that the headphones use the integrated 7.1 sound card. However, this will only be useful for PC gamers. PlayStation players only hear stereo via the USB connection. On the Xbox there is even only the analog version with the mini jack and the logo is no longer lit because the power connector is missing. The manufacturer’s logos from Teufel shine via USB in three stages: off, medium and maximum. But only on the PC and on the PlayStation.
In general, it looks as if the headset has been optimized for the PC. Teufel Cage 2020 masters the parallel connection of USB and analog cable in order to be able to talk to friends via Discord (analog) while playing on the PC (USB). This is possible thanks to the headset’s internal mixer.
Connections and switches
With the predecessor you could plug the microphone on both sides. In the 2020 version, it has been dispensed with. The arm is really one of the best innovations because it fits really well. In the test at several video and telephone conferences, the voice was always crystal clear. There are also a few switches on the headphones themselves for the headset. So you can mute the microphone at any time by pressing the switch on the left ear cup. The volume can be adjusted on the right earphone.
If you don’t need the microphone, you can simply pull it out again.

Teufel Cage 2020 in the test: Comfort

Teufel Cage 2020 in the test: Sound & Klang
The headset convinced everyone involved in the DailyGame hardware test. Highs and mids are reproduced precisely and the bass sounds more than clean. As already mentioned, the microphone and the sound quality were in use for several hours and there was never a problem. In a video conference, the extremely good sound of the voice was even praised, without I indicating that I was testing a new headset.
