TRIBUNNEWS.COM, MEDAN – Mount Sinabung which is in North Sumatra eruption, Saturday (8/8/2020).
For more than 17 hours, three major eruptions were recorded that occurred at Mount Sinabung.
As a result of the eruption, thick dust covered the foot area Mount Sinabung.
From the accounts of residents around the foot of Mount Sinabung, there were three large eruptions from 02.00 WIB to 17.30 WIB.

The first eruption occurred at around 02.00 WIB which brought volcanic ash around 02.20 WIB.
This first eruption was only around the foot of the mountain.
Meanwhile, the second eruption occurred at 02.30 WIB and brought volcanic ash to the city of Berastagi.
“The first time at 02.00 WIB is not that big because the ashes are not too much. But if the second one is large because it is accompanied by strong winds so that the ashes reach Berastagi City,” said Wanton Sembiring, a resident around Naman Teran, Naman Teran District on Saturday. (8/8/2020).

As far as the experience of local residents, eruptions were marked by rumbling sounds, the smell of sulfur, and crashes like a passing plane.
Apart from Wanton Sembiring, Idawati Sembiring (40), a resident of Naman Teran Village, District Field Teran also said that since the eruption in 2010, erupted Mount Sinabung re-experienced.
