Test of Good Job !, a fun little game on Switch

When Nintendo decides to release one of your games, you’ve already succeeded somewhere. And it’s the guys from Paladin Studios who should be proud. Advertised during the last Nintendo mini Direct, Good Job! East a little game released on Switch last week, which combines skill, thinking, and fun.

The CEO’s son

We all know people who have been boosted while traveling disasters. In Good Job! we embody the son of the CEO who must climb the ladder of the box … Obviously the guy is clumsy as possible, and does not care to break everything that happens when he must reach his goals. Of course, that’s what makes the game so fun!

Diversified and original gameplay

Good Job! is the kind of game where physics is delusional, and if it requires precision, the controls are often disturbed by the character’s clumsiness. This makes it not uncommon to break items trying to complete missions, but that’s clearly funny. The game is divided into 9 floors, each with 4 levels, representing the rise on the social scale.

Each floor highlights a similar basic gameplay (moving objects) but with different goals, making it fresh every moment. Of course, there are always several solutions to solve the problems we face. I particularly appreciated that the game does not force you to play in the cleanest way possible, since it is for example possible to project printers through windows and other walls. So why deprive yourself of it?

Some minor issues

On the other hand, good for scoring purists, the meaningless scoring system, and favors speed rather than reflection by solving problems without breaking everything in its path. It also sometimes happens that the game undergoes a few small lags when a lot of objects are in motion, without it being very embarrassing in itself, the gameplay of the game being still somewhat permissive.

My opinion on Good Job!

For just 20 euros on the eShop, Good Job! is really a nice game, without too much headache and really fun. Even if the co-op did not convince me especially, the game is really worth the solo trip. In addition, it has a rather significant replayability in order to improve its times, its notes, where still grab all the collectible objects. A title with a light tone, which is clearly ideal at the moment.
