Tesla, two new electric cars scheduled

After the Cybertruck, Tesla would plan to launch two new electric cars. This interesting news comes from Elon Musk during the presentation of the latest quarterly report of your company which went very well, above analyst expectations. Responding to a question about the next models, the CEO highlighted that it is not possible to talk today about the product roadmap beyond what has already been announced. However, Musk pointed out that it is reasonable to assume that a compact vehicle and a large passenger car will arrive in the future.

Obviously there is no mention of products that will debut very soon. Probably it will still take a few years before Tesla presents a new model. For that matter, the company is still working on Cybertruck, Tesla Semi and on the new Roadster who have not yet officially debuted on the road. Moreover, the Model Y it has just arrived on the market and when Elon Musk presented his electric pickup he said that this would be Tesla’s latest product for some time.

However, what the CEO of the company said during the presentation of the quarterly report is not so particularly new. At the beginning of the year, in fact, Musk had made it known that Tesla he would have designed a car for the global market in China and had shown his own design of a compact model. On this front, therefore, it is possible that the manufacturer is ahead of what he is making believe. An electric compact at a lower cost than the current Model 3 could be very interesting and allow to approach a wider pool of users. As for the large vehicle, it could be the electric van intended for The Boring Company.

In any case, we will have to wait a long time to better understand what is cooking. Given the current roadmap, if there are no delays it is possible that these new models may arrive between 2022 and 2023.
