Tesla unveiled the electric truck about five years ago, in November 2017. At that time, it was almost unique, but now Tesla has more competition, including that of Volvo.
Musk previously announced in August that the trucks, which have a range of more than 800 kilometers on a fully charged battery, would be delivered this year. However, Tesla’s CEO often sets deadlines that are not met.
PepsiCo has ordered 100 Tesla Semi trucks. That company previously said it would start using the top fifteen this year. The Walmart supermarket group is one of the other companies that ordered the truck.
