(Elbil24): In 2017, Tesla presented its plans forTesla Semi. Five years later, the first customers can soon receive the vehicle, which is a large semi-trailer.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk writes in a surprising message on Twitter that Semi is approaching:

Delays
In the Twitter message, Musk writes that Tesla will start delivering the Semi this year, and at the same time takes care to show that the Semi will have a range of 500 miles – or just under 805 kilometers.
There is also reason to believe that the delivery of the Semi before the New Year will initially concern the American market.
In any case, it is pleasing that there seems to be good progress in production.
Back in 2017, Tesla announced that it envisioned starting production of the Semi in 2019. A number of challenges have caused delays, and the technology company never started production as planned.
Several Norwegian companies are waiting for the Tesla Semi
In 2020, Tesla CEO Elon Musk stated that it was time to start mass production. One year later – last summer – revealed Electrek that Tesla was making progress toward production of the Semi at a smaller facility near the Gigafactory Nevada.

Meanwhile, Tesla has invested heavily in ramping up production of the Model 3 and Y to keep up with demand. Thus, it is uncertain whether Tesla would be able to deliver completely new products this year.
In January, Musk himself went out and said that they would not come with any new models this year. However, the aforementioned Twitter message indicates progress at Tesla. Keeping Musk’s latest promise, the Tesla Semi will be on the roads before the end of the year.
Next year, the much-talked-about Cybertruck is due, Musk tweeted. It is expected that Tesla will soon unveil the production version of the Cybertruck. The development of the car has encountered a number of challenges and delays, but expectations for the car are still high.
