In addition, the Tesla boss repeated earlier statements that the price of the package will continue to increase as the range of functions increases. If it was complete and approved by the authorities, it would be worth more than $ 100,000, Musk said.
New Tesla features in Europe?
The Tesla boss had already announced gradual price increases for FSD beforehand and in some cases had already carried them out. In the United States, the price last rose by $ 1,000 to $ 7,000 in summer 2019; Tesla postponed another planned increase for Europe (current price: 6300 euros) on Twitter because fewer functions are already permitted there than in the USA.
But now Europe and the rest of the world should apparently follow suit in terms of functions and prices, and Tesla will probably make FSD even more expensive in the USA. It was initially unclear whether the increase for Europe was linked to Musk’s announcement that it would introduce automatic stops at red lights and stop signs in the third quarter, as it had since the beginning of the year. At least the detection of traffic lights and signs, i.e. not the reaction to it, is currently also running at Teslas in Europe without a paid FSD option.

There is a big difference between the FSD booth in the United States and Europe with the Smart Summon (Intelligent Calling) function: Tesla drivers in the United States can drive their electric car up to 150 meters away from parking spaces without people behind the wheel European owners still have to stay very close to their Tesla. There were some regulatory advances in Europe, Musk said in April, but has now given no further information on demand.

In any case, the Tesla boss also did not forget to point out again when he announced the price that, in his opinion, FSD would significantly increase the value of Tesla’s electric cars. In the past, he had said several times that autonomy functions would ensure that Teslas would not lose value over time, but would gain.
