The American carmaker Tesla delivered 499,550 electric cars last year. Analysts predicted that the company would sell only 481,261 cars in 2020. This was stated by the agency Reuters.

However, Elon Musk expected even higher sales. He hoped that Tesla would sell more than five hundred thousand electric cars. With this plan, the company entered last year and did not intend to change its intentions due to the pandemic of covid-19, which paralyzed virtually the entire global world. These goals were confirmed by the company’s CFO Zachary Kirkhorn during October.

On the social network Twitter, Musk stated that he still considers the number of cars sold in 2020 to be an important milestone in the company’s history. “When I founded Tesla, I was optimistic that we had a 10 percent chance of survival,” added Tesla’s founder.
