In a letter addressed to the President and CEO of Air France Anne Rigail, the ACCD’OM is concerned about the disappearance of the Paris / Bordeaux line for people from overseas.
The disappearance of this air link will cause numerous inconveniences for the many overseas passengers who use it ”, specifies in its letter the ACCD’OM. She denounces “a unilateral decision, taken without consultation with elected officials or associations concerned, the ACCD’OM.
The association fears, for example, that “using the SNCF line to reach Paris before a flight to Cayenne, for example, will incur an additional cost with the obligation to spend a night in the capital”. She adds that if “the problem of costs is regularly highlighted, the fact remains that it is the very principle, which makes it possible to eliminate the disparity of treatment between residents or from overseas, and therefore a breach of equality, which is important to us ”.
In this context, the ACCD’OM calls for this air link to Orly to be maintained and reminds “the interests of overseas territories must be taken into account”.
