A terrifying experience experienced by the passengers of a civil plane, when a boxer, whom the media described as “crazy”, tried to open one of its doors while it was taking off.
Sky News quoted the British newspaper, The Sun, as saying that the passenger who tried to open the door of the plane was a 27-year-old British boxer, but two of the plane’s passengers managed to control him, and later the authorities arrested him on the airport grounds after the plane stopped.
The plane belonged to the “Rain Air” company, on its way from the city of Zadar in Croatia to Britain.
Video footage shows the boxer suddenly exiting his seat on the plane, before he entered into a fit of screaming against one of the hosts, and later he rushed towards the plane door quickly, asking the hosts to open it.
And “The Sun” said that two of the passengers, whom it described as “heroes”, jumped from their seat to control the raging boxer, and knocked him to the ground.
The Croatian city police said that a British citizen was arrested on the grounds of the airport, while an investigation was opened into the accident, and many media reports stated that the man was a boxing professional, but his name was not published.
