The head of diplomacy European Josep Borrell “underlined” Saturday in an interview with his counterpart
Iranian Mohammad Javad Zarif “the need for de-escalation”, after
the death of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani in an American attack on Baghdad.

“I am committed to playing the role of coordinator,” added the European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Policy in his tweet. This Sunday, he indicated that he invited to BrusselsMohammad Javad Zarif.
