Tender mischief operation: 168 detention orders

Within the scope of the investigation carried out by the Adana Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, a detention warrant was issued against 168 people who were alleged to have misused the tender. The Financial Bureau Directorate teams affiliated to the Adana Police Department Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch Directorate acted at dawn according to this decision.

Police in 26 provinces across Turkey, university and hospital canteens in the tender mischief stirring events in 48 states allegedly inflicted damage of 90 million pounds and 158 companies have launched an operation to catch the 10 public officials.

Police raided homes and businesses simultaneously in 34 provinces. While it was claimed that the person named Derviş B. was the leader of the network, most of the 168 suspects who were detained in the operation were detained. The suspects were brought to the forensic medicine unit and passed through health checks. (IHA)
