Tencent is back shopping. This time in Poland. In the basket Cenega, Qloc and Muve

It was received by the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection application concerning the “takeover by Proxima Beta Europe BV with its seat in Amsterdam, control over 1C Entertainment SA with its seat in Warsaw”. And now in Polish.

The owner of Proxima is none other than the mentioned Tencent. 1C Entertainment is, in turn, a capital group operating for 20 years, dealing with the broadly understood video game industry. The company operates in Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Russia and Cyprus. It is subject to, inter alia, Cenega, one of the largest game publishers in the country, Qloc, a world-class company dealing, among others locations or game ports, and Muve, a digital store.

Neither of the parties has officially announced the transaction yet, and its details are not known. Therefore, it is not known to what extent and whether it will affect the current activity of the company at all.
