The tech giant Tencent has devoured another company and this time it is Slamfire that has been acquired. Slamfire is the parent company of, among others, Back 4 Blood developer Turtle Rock Studios.
According to the press release, Turtle Rock will retain its independence and the current leadership will remain to lead the studio further. What the next project for Turtle Rock will be, however, was not clear, but you can guess a bit and say that there will probably be more Back 4 Blood for them for a while to come.
Other places that Tencent owns or partially owns are Epic Games, Activision Blizzard, Ubisoft, Paradox Interactive, Remedy Entertainment, Frontier Developments, Dontnod, Bloober Team, Klei, Playtonic, Platinum Games and Roblox Corporation.
