Temperatures determine frequencies on restaurant terraces

In the Piazza Collegiata in Bellinzona, shortly before 9 a.m., seven tables were occupied. The predominantly older audience ordered coffee and cornetti. In a side street, a small restaurant advertised with a sign: “Pizza no stop”.

The picture was different in the morning in downtown Winterthur. There were some guests in the outside areas of the cafés. However, the cold made things a little uncomfortable. Thickly wrapped in winter clothes, the hard-boiled few warmed themselves at their coffee cups.

It was a lot livelier in the fitness centers. In the Migros Fitness Park in Winterthur, for example, around 50 people were already exercising before nine o’clock.

The Federal Council decided on the opening step, which was surprisingly extensive for many, last Wednesday. As a result, cinemas, theaters and sports stadiums are allowed to reopen on Monday in addition to the restaurant terraces under strict guidelines.
